Peter Lassen

Peter Lassen

Born in 1930, Peter Lassen started working for Fritz Hansen after leaving the Navy. Working there from 1955 to 1978 when he was Managing Director, Lassen was influenced by designers of the era that he came in to contact with, such as Arne Jacobsen and Verner Panton. Lassen left Fritz Hansen to start his own company dedicated to modular storage systems – Montana. He says “Montana has become a system about freedom, not only at the moment the choice is made, but the freedom to alter the style, composition and function, whenever the urge strikes you”.
