Designed by Ricky and Mika Burdett in celebration of the 40 year anniversary of Aram Designs. ''The carpet design is a collaboration which – as with so many other things – grew out of a lunch conversation with Zeev Aram at The Ivy. Starting from an exploration of the concept of ‘density’ and inspired by the layered etchings of Cy Twombly, the design became progressively rationalised into a simple, sinuous, bi-tonal form that – as Zeev stated – could feel 'good in your living room'. Informed, altered and ultimately improved by technical constraints of carpet-making in India, the centreless, fast-moving shape unexpectedly captures the breezy, rambling sense of bonhomie of lunching with the legendary Aram.''
